Ash is a writer and editor based in Portland, OR. For nearly a decade, she’s written for various publications about LGBTQ issues, chronic illness, women’s health, ADHD, and addiction. She was hired as Oar Health’s Social Editor in 2021. Since 2019, Ash has written about chronic pain and chronic illness for Healthline.
She is diagnosed with hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) and ADHD, and is passionate about using her writing to share the many tips and tricks she’s learned to manage these chronic conditions. Her regular columns include “Life’s a Pain: Chronic Pain Guide” and advice column “Tissue Issues.”
Ash co-founded the popular women’s comedy show "Man Haters," which was twice named Best Comedy Show by East Bay Express, and was featured on Viceland TV's comedy documentary "Funny How?." She was voted Best Comedian Runner-Up by East Bay Express in 2017, featured in SF Sketchfest three years in a row, and has won several live storytelling competitions in the Bay Area.
Ash was recently named Social Editor for Oar Rx, a New York-based health startup focused on alternative and innovative addiction treatments. Before Oar, she wrote educational modules about ADHD and hosted live Zoom events at Inflow, an app for people with ADHD.
