Elizabeth Yuko, PhD, is a bioethicist and journalist, as well as an adjunct professor of ethics at Fordham University. She has been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Rolling Stone, The Atlantic, CNN, Teen Vogue, Architectural Digest, CityLab, Real Simple, and Lifehacker, among others. She was previously the Health & Sex Editor for SheKnows Media, and has given a TEDx talk on bioethics and The Golden Girls. Yuko's academic publications cover topics including bioethics regulations in Ireland and Europe, issues of consent in residual human biological materials, research ethics, and the ethics of mental health therapies. She serves as an external ethics expert for the European Research Council.
Elizabeth has a PhD in Bioethics, an LLM in Migration Law, and an MA in International Security and Conflict Studies, all from Dublin City University (Ireland), as well as a BA in Political Science from The College of Wooster.
