Julia Ingram is a news reporter specializing in data analysis and visualization. She uses public records, spreadsheets and code to find and tell stories in data. Most recently, Julia was an intern on The Washington Post’s data team, where she reported on corporations with a focus on accountability.

In June 2021, Julia graduated from Stanford University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in English and served as editor-in-chief of her student newspaper, The Stanford Daily. Before graduating, she interned on Miami Herald’s breaking news team and NBC News’ investigative unit. She is based in her native New York City, where she’s pursuing a master’s degree in data journalism at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
