After earning her BA in English and creative writing, Lorraine DeRosa earned her MPS in art therapy and psychology while working in marketing and PR.
Lorraine was the recipient of an award for excellence and the SVA Masters' Chairman's Grant for her years of internships as a therapist, working both with adult patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, in group, and individual sessions with adolescents and children at New Alternatives for Children, in New York City.Lorraine has been researching and covering topics related to health and mental health including trauma and healing, anxiety, childhood development, social and emotional growth, chronic and terminal illness, parenting, and more, for close to 15 years.
